Nearly 100 golfers and mah jongg and canasta players participated in the fifth annual Daniel Pearl Education Center Golf Classic at Cranbury Golf Club, raising money to support the DPEC’s annual programming.
“It was a great day for golf, mah jongg and canasta and especially for the Daniel Pearl Education Center,” said DPEC chair Andy Boyarsky. “We really appreciate the great support we’ve gotten over the years with our golf tournament, and this year was no different. Everyone had a fun time, and there were some impressive shots out there as well.”
This year’s tournament was originally scheduled for May but had to be rescheduled for July 22 due to a rainout. But that didn’t stop the golfers and game participants or the sponsors who donated gifts for tricky trays, raffles and silent auctions.
The date for the 2019 Golf Classic will be announced over the next few weeks.
