The Daniel Pearl Education Center reinforced its commitment to community and understanding with a special showing of the award-winning documentary, Sister Rose’s Passion. Following the film, David Bossman, Ph.D. and Marilyn Zirl of the Sister Rose Thering Fund at Seton Hall University answered questions about Sister Rose’s life and her commitment to a fruitful dialogue between the Jewish and Christian communities. Fostering understanding through education and inter-religious cooperation since 1993, the Sister Rose Thering Fund began as a supporting wing of the Department of Religion at Seton Hall University. Sister Rose Thering served as administrator, recruiting educators and raising funds to defray tuition costs, until her retirement in 2005.
